NYC Christmas tree vendors already busy

MANHATTAN — Thanksgiving dishes are done. The leftovers are ready for lunch.

Now it’s time for the next round of holidays.

The arrival of tree lots on the sidewalk signals the start of the jingle-bell season.

George Smith has set up NYC Tree Shop along 2nd Avenue between 20th and 19th Streets for the past 15 years.

He says this year there’s less time between Thanksgiving and Christmas and some vendors are dealing with a tree shortage.
