NEW JERSEY — New Jersey-bound helix on the Lincoln Tunnel was temporarily closed after a tractor-trailer overturned Wednesday morning.

The tractor-trailer overturned on the NJ-495 near the Lincoln Tunnel, Port Authority tweeted.

All traffic was diverted to the Hoboken Tunnel and local streets during the morning commute, according to Port Authority officials.

The Holland Tunnel may experience a higher volume during the morning rush due to the incident.

The Lincoln Tunnel to New York is allowing buses only into the North Tube, and the tunnel’s North Tube to New Jersey is open to all traffic.

The buses only restriction has been rescinded, according to Port Authority.
