Man stabbed to death at Queens bus stop

JAMAICA, Queens — A 24-year-old man was stabbed to death at a bus stop in the middle of a Queens transportation hub Monday, police said.

The victim has been identified as Anthony Teil.

Police said Teil and another man were arguing shortly after midnight near Archer Avenue and 153rd Street.

A 911 call was made about the argument. When officers arrived, they’d found Teil mortally wounded.

A source told PIX11 News the victim as stabbed with a metal rod multiple times in the head and chest. He died minutes later at the hospital.

Investigators don’t yet know what the men were fighting about if Teil knew his attacker.

Police are interviewing witnesses and going through surveillance footage in the area to identify the suspect.

In an emotional Facebook post, Tiel’s sister said:

“It’s a very difficult time for my family and I. I’m only posting because my brother’s murderer is still out there. … My brother’s life was taken early this morning and now ours will never be the same.”
