Planned subway construction leads to confusing weekend commute

If you are confused by all the MTA weekend service changes, there is good reason. 12 different subway lines — the 1, 4, 5, 6, 7 F G J M N Q and R trains —  all have planned construction work. Perhaps the most disruptive, late night N and R train service is suspended this weekend between Canal Street and DeKalb Avenue in both directions.

Even the 2 and 3 trains are being affected . They’ll be making local stops in both directions between Penn Station and Chambers Street because of construction on the 1 line.

And for people who regularly ride the G train, it’s another weekend of headaches. Church Avenue bound G trains will skip Fourth Avenue 9th street, 15th street Prospect Park and Fort Hamilton Parkway stations all weekend because of work on the Church Avenue interlocking.
