Knicks legend Patrick Ewing hired as associate head coach of Charlotte Bobcats

Patrick-Ewing-476246-1-402NEW YORK (PIX11) — Former NBA basketball player and New York Knicks great Patrick Ewing is headed to Charlotte where he will take on the role of associate head coach of the Bobcats, according to Yahoo.

Ewing, 50, who played his most successful years as a player with the Knicks during the 90’s and took them to two NBA Finals appearances, will work for his old rival and Charlotte owner Michael Jordan, highlighting a “Space Jam” reunion.

The Hall of Famer will serve under Steve Clifford, the new head coach of the Bobcats. Ewing previously worked with Clifford while as an assistant coach with the Orlando Magic and Houston Rockets.
