EDISON, NJ (PIX11) — A student in Edison, New Jersey has been arrested after police say they found homemade bombs in his home.

Police say they also found fireworks and several shotgun shells.

The 16-year-old was charged with possession of homemade bomb devices and was released into a relative’s custody.

Police say this is not related to bomb threats at the school two weeks ago, and they don’t believe he had plans to detonate the devices.
