BOSTON (PIX11)– Crowdfunding websites are receiving thousands of pledges from around the country to raise money for victims of the Boston Marathon bombing.

The websites say they’ve received 23,000 pledges, raising $2 million for the families and victims so far.

Three accounts getting a lot of donations are GoFundMe, GiveForward and YouCaring.

They each provide a quick way to directly give money to specific victims during their time of need.

GoFundMe has already raised nearly $1.3 million through its “Believe in Boston” campaigns.

The website was set up for a mother and daughter, Celeste and Sydney Corcoran, who were severely injured standing at the finish line of the marathon.

The organizers of the websites are posting photos and details of the victims recovery.
