A major controversy involving the second amendment in the classroom, one local dad is standing up to what he says is the “brainwashing” of children against guns.

Stephen Boibeaux is the father of a 14 year old at Northeast Middle School in Bristol, Connecticut.

He was shocked to see what he called a very polarized reading exercise in his son’s homework.

The document basically says the second amendment doesn’t ensure an individual’s right to bear arms and that the law only applies to the National Guard rather than people.

The chairman of the school board said the worksheet was outdated and wasn’t meant to push any political agenda.

The superintendent of Bristol schools sent a statement saying the assignment was withdrawn and that parents with any concerns should contact the school.
