The cause of a Long Island teen’s sudden death while he was on a school trip has been revealed.

Officials said it was a powerful strep infection that killed the 15-year-old student, Joseph Tutaj.

The Seaford high school student was traveling on a band trip when he started feeling sick.

He died February 19th less than 14 hours after being admitted to the hospital.
