Teenager charged with setting three alarm fire in the Bronx

BRONX (PIX11)- A teenager has been charged with setting a three alarm fire in the Bronx yesterday that left several families homeless.

19-year-old Princess Martinez is accused of lighting a mattress on fire inside the six story building after an argument with her mother.

Dozens of firefighters were called to the scene to battle smoke and flames coming out of the top floor.

Six firefighters suffered minor injuries.

No residents were injured.

On Saturday night the teenager was charged with intentional arson.

Officials are not sure what Martinez and her mother were arguing about.
