Bart Court

A real-life Simpsons episode played out in an English courtroom after a man named Bart Simpson appeared before a judge named, that’s right, Mr. Burns.

No slingshot was involved in Simpson’s trial in the town of Warwick, however — caught him with a firearm at an airport last May, according to the Daily Mirror.

Simpson, 56, stood before Mr. Recorder Burns to plead his case this week.

“It’s a bizarre coincidence that Bart Simpson is actually on trial in front of Mr Burns but it’ll proceed as any other criminal case would,” One court worker said.  “There were some eyebrows raised when the court list was published.”
