Suspect who targeted Asians in violent robberies in police custody

A suspect linked to a series of brutal attacks on Asian people in East Harlem is now in police custody.

According to authorities, Jason Commisso was busted while aboard a southbound Greyhound bus Monday night.

The bus was near Interchange 2 on the New Jersey Turnpike in Woolwich when State troopers stopped it at about 11:30 p.m.

Commisso, 34, was reportedly headed to Texas.

Police link Commisso to as many 8 attacks where he targeted Asian victims, violently robbed them and then fled.
