PATH service between Newark and the World Trade Center station will finally return to a weekday 24-hour schedule Monday night, almost three months after Superstorm Sandy flooded the tunnels, the Port Authority announced.

Trains have been running during the week on the Newark-WTC line between 5 a.m. and 10 p.m. since service was partially restored.

There will be no weekend service to the Exchange Place and WTC stations, however; those stations will close at 10 p.m. Friday and reopen at 5 a.m. Monday.  Weekend construction is expected to continue in February.
