NEW YORK CITY, (PIX11)– The micro-apartments are 325 square foot studios. What may look like a living room can change into a bedroom, dining room, office and bar with a few simple adjustments. Right now the city requires a minimum of 400 square feet for new units. That rule is going to be bent for the 55 micro-apartments in order to make space for more people. Micro-apartments are extremely popular in Tokyo and Hong Kong. The average price for a studio in New York City is 300-thousand dollars.
