What’s the best way to get to Washington Square? Was there an elevated train along 3rd Avenue?

Now you can test your knowledge of New York City transit with the MTA’s first ever “Transit Trivia” night at the Transit Museum.

“This is a great way to spend an evening, battling for transit trivia dominance while surrounded by New York City mass transit history going back more than a century,” said New York Transit Museum Director Gabrielle Shubert.  “We are looking forward to a great event and a lot of right answers to a lot of tough questions.”

In a press release, the MTA says there will be prizes for the winners and the opportunity to explore the museum both prior to the event and during the intermission.  Admission is $15 ($10 for museum members and members of Transportation Alternatives.)  Tickets can be purchased online at and refreshments will be served.

Where is the Transit Museum? It’s located at the corner of Boerum Place and Schermerhorn Street, Brooklyn Heights.
