NEW YORK (PIX11)— Authorities have made an arrest in the gruesome stabbing of a Staten Island teacher found dead in her duplex condo this past summer.

According to police, the victim’s husband 30-year-oid Jonathan Crupi was charged in the murder.

The suspect was arrested Tuesday at his mother’s home in Brooklyn, cops said.

The body of Simeonette Mapes-Crupi was found with numerous stab wounds inside the couple’s condo in July.

Jonathan Crupi, who initially discovered the body, called police, claiming it was the result of a home invasion.

An investigation later determined, Crupi was responsible for his wife’s murder.
